“The Lowland” é um filme que narra a vida de crianças afegãs que vivem da recolha de lixo nos subúrbios de Teerão e uma tentativa de fazer ouvir a sua voz. Retrato de crianças que crescem numa sociedade que as aceita enquanto “crianças trabalhadoras” e se parece ter esquecido que não deixam de ser crianças, com nome próprio e características individuais.
“The Lowland” is a narrative of the lives of Afghan garbage-collector children in Tehran and an attempt to make their voice heard. Children who live and work in the suburbs of Tehran, collecting garbage in the city. And it is as if all of them have been accepted as “working children” and individual characteristics have been lost in this general name.
