A Antropologia nas Escolas.

Qual o papel da Antropologia na formação das crianças e jovens? Neste painel reuniremos comunicações que possam contribuir para uma reflexão alargada sobre o papel da Antropologia na formação geral das crianças e jovens nos desafios que este século configura para a sua educação e formação.

Qual o contributo da Antropologia para a educação? Apesar de ser uma opção de 12º ano, a sua escolha é residual. Muitas vezes confinada ao espaço académico, a sua visibilidade é diminuta para os jovens, que acabam por optar por outras disciplinas (Sociologia, Ciência Política, etc.)
No entanto, os antropólogos e os seus projetos são frequentemente requisitados pelas escolas em projetos transdisciplinares, constituindo valiosos contributos para o enriquecimento curricular.
Pretende-se a partilha das diferentes experiências já realizadas, bem como das que estão em curso, ou das que poderemos imaginar num futuro próximo.
Neste painel queremos trazer para debate estas questões, que têm preocupado a APA, os e as estudantes de Antropologia ao nível das saídas profissionais, e profissionais da Antropologia que veem nesta ciência uma forma alternativa ou complementar de ensino em várias áreas do saber. Procuraremos juntar comunicações que se concentrem em propostas que estejam a ser praticadas, ou apenas sonhadas, para levar a Antropologia às escolas mais cedo do que apenas no nível “superior”.

Anthropology in schools.
Resumo curto / Short abstract
What is the role of Anthropology in the education of children and young people? In this panel, we will bring together presentations that can contribute to a broad reflection on the role of Anthropology in the general education of children and young people in the context of the challenges that this century sets for their education and training.
Resumo longo / Long abstract
What is the contribution of anthropology to education? Despite being a 12th grade subject option in schools, this choice is residual. Often confined to the academic space, its visibility is low for young people, who end up opting for other subjects (Sociology, Political Science, etc.)
However, anthropologists and their projects are frequently requested by schools in transdisciplinary projects, making valuable contributions to curriculum enrichment.
This panel intends to share the different experiences that have already been carried out, as well as those that are ongoing, or those that we can imagine in the near future.
In this panel, we want to discuss these issues that have been concerning APA, Anthropology students in terms of professional opportunities, and Anthropology professionals who see in this science an alternative or complementary form of teaching in various areas of knowledge. We will bring together presentations that focus on proposals that are being practiced, or just dreamed of, to bring Anthropology to schools earlier than just at the “higher” level of the university education.
